Reviews for Squier Telecaster Custom Electric Guitar (Maple)
Feature: No special accessories except for an adjustment key for the neck. Still - the separate volume and tone knobs are a plus.
Quality: Really well made. I believe- on par with the Mexican Fenders. Clean finish. Good fit of both wood and metal parts. No loose ends visible. Electrical switches and knobs respond effective without any noise or hiss/ clicks etc. The guitar kept its tune for almost an hour of intensive playing.
Value: Excellent value for the money they ask for!
Desirability: An attractive guitar in both looks and workmanship. It has a sound that's not a typical Fender sound - but if you like it as is (and I do) - it's a wonderful instrument to have.
Sound: A clear, yet very a-typical fender sound. The humbuckers actually make it sound more like an Epiphone or any other LP than the traditional tele sound. Still - a good versatile tone with a lot of flexibility in dialing in the tone and warmth you're looking for. In the guitar I played it felt like the output volume was a bit low. Probably can be improved by raising the Pu's position.
Overall: A good all-rounder, that looks like a Classy custom Fender and sounds more like an LP with some fender touches...
