Reviews for Peavey Grind Bass 5 BXP NTB 5-String Electric Bass Guitar Feature: Yes, it has tone knobs (actually, the pots are very clean). Quality: I believe that the guitar is of very good quality. The finish is a bit on the rough side, but I don't play the finish!! Sound: First, I'm not a pro - just having fun. I think that for the price, this is a very good buy. Big sound, good definition, and fine action. Pickups have plenty of output. I like it better than my Fender 4-string (better action and I like the sound characteristics better). There are better axes out there, but as I said - for the money, I am very pleased and would buy it again given the choice.
