Reviews for Native Instruments Traktor DJ Studio (Macintosh and Windows) Feature: can you really ask for more? the only more fully featured DJ tool is ableton live, but that requires serious prep. Quality: everything is awesome except those hiccups in audio. unfortunately that is a big deal when you are performing! Value: you get a LOT of stuff for what you pay. FX, key switching, locking, looping, built in recording, waveform overview, and all for less than the price of a single CD deck! Desirability: sexy, but needs to get the hiccups fixed. Sound: occasionally drops the audio stream just for a split second on a G4 1.5 powerbook, even when no FX or key lock is running. it's hiccuped during a live show before, and happened twice in 5 hours of play. but the key lock sounds great and the FX are awesome. Ease of Use: interface takes awhile to figure out. key/midi assignment scheme could be way easier. but once you get past orientation and setup it's all smooth sailing. Support: NI is okay for this product. had a problem with my playlists, and the tech responded the next day and i fixed my problem, but i had to reinstall it.
