Reviews for Hartke VX215 Bass Cabinet with HF Driver (500 Watts, 2x15 in.) Feature: For being so big, it's LIGHT. Weight-wise it's similar to most 1x15 cabinets I've seen (60 - 70lbs). Quality: This cabinet survived cats treating it like a scratching post, guitarist temper-tantrums, and accidentally dropping it down some stairs. To be fair though, I've never seen it take blows to the grill, so there could be holes in its invulnerability. Value: You WON'T find a better sounding cab for the money. In fact, this cab spoiled me. I figured because of its price that I'd be able to find 1x15 and 2x10 cabs in the same pricerange that can do what this does. I haven't yet. Desirability: It has the sound. It can take a beating. Its size makes it a bit of a bear to move around on your own, especially in tight stairwells. Sound: Because it was big, I went around looking at other cabinets the past couple weeks to see if I could match the sound. What I found looking around is making me rethink if being so big is actually a problem. This cabinet sounds as good as 15" speaker cabinets 2 - 3 times the price.
